Art at Holly Meadows School
What does Art look like at Holly Meadows?
At Holly Meadows we aim to provide an art education that engages, inspires and challenges children to develop a love of the visual arts.
Through our two year rolling curriculum, we equip children with the knowledge and skills to enable them to experiment, invent and create their own works of art.
Children learn to develop an appreciation of art from different traditions, cultures, periods of history and from great artists and designers.
Sketchbooks
Each child is given a hardback sketchbook to use during their time at Holly Meadows School. Pupils are taught to use their sketchbooks to record thought processes and to make their visual notes. Sketchbooks often include drawings, notes, pieces of fabric, found objects, photographs and annotations.
